After recently releasing Media Tools to help journalists do a better job, Google is now looking inward and changing its popular Google News to be a better experience on mobile phones. While it's not an app, the change in the Google News website (news.google.com) will be first hitting Android and iOS devices, accessible through Chrome or Safari browsers.
