AppCleaner: The Best Free Uninstaller App For Mac

Posted: 09 Jan 2014 10:00 AM PST

appcleaner-1680

Leave no crap behind. AppCleaner is a free uninstaller for Mac that searches for and lets you delete all the settings, caches and other junk files programs you delete that would otherwise remain. We recently outlined the best free uninstallers for Windows. Uninstalling apps in Windows, as it turns out, leaves a lot of crap behind – and the standard methods of uninstallation don’t do anything about that. Happily, Macs aren’t poorly designed like that, right? Wrong. Incomplete Uninstalls Whether you drag an application to the trash or delete it in the launchpad, programs you uninstall from your Mac leave...

A new piece of password authentication technology, called Myris, was unveiled this week at the Consumer Electronics Show [CES]. Myris scans your irises to verify your personal identity and unlock the user name and passwords on your computer. Myris was created by EyeLock, an advanced iris based identity technology solutions company. EyeLock claims that the human iris is widely considered the best part of the body for biometric recognition. This type of “iris print” recognition technology, EyeLock says, is already being used by corporations like Bank of America to secure critical identity and security applications. flowchart-life

Everything important that you need to know about living a successful life, you can get from a computer program. Don’t believe me? Read on. Back then, there weren’t many life lessons to discern out of that cryptic text. A number of years later, in high school Pascal class, things started to...

Fleksy-for-Android-Minimal-Gesture-Based-Keyboard

Techies love minimalistic design in their gadgetry. And recently, we have seen Minuum take this fascination to the Android keyboard. Fleksy is yet another keyboard app that offers stark minimalism and a slicker-looking layout than the default. Fleksy was originally developed as an iOS keyboard for the visually impaired, but the new version for Android ditches that to focus on being a beautiful alternative to the likes of SwiftKey and Swype. Bringing Gestures To Keyboards There’s no doubt about the fact that Fleksy is gorgeous. I compare it directly with SwiftKey, Swype and the stock Android keyboard since those are...

How & Why I Use 5 Digital Notebooks to Stay Productive

Posted: 09 Jan 2014 07:00 AM PST

digital-notebooks

I use five different notebooks. Why? Because each has a distinct purpose or feature that helps me stay productive.
